As the weather grows colder, the need for coats is great in our neighborhood.  Children and adults need warmer clothes.  At Our Annual Thanksgiving Block Party on November 23 we plan to have coats available for our friends at Wheatley Courts/East Side Meadows.  As you can see from the attached pictures, a warm coat varies in price from about $20 -$30.  The simplest way for us to provide the needed coats is to have donations which we can use to match our residents to coats that we purchase.  If you would like to help, please send checks made out to HIS BridgeBuilders-San Antonio to 422 Pike Road, San Antonio, TX 78209, or use our website to donate.  Please send your contributions no later than November 18 to give us time to purchase necessary coats.

In addition to the coats we will have all our usual Block Party activities:  Christian music, the presentation of the gospel, snow cones, pop corn, sausage wraps, cookies, chips, and drinks.  Too, we will have boxes of food for our friends to take home to prepare for Thanksgiving dinner.  These boxes will contain a frozen turkey breast, a frozen pie, canned vegetables, and bread.  We will need help distributing the coats and preparing and distributing the boxes of food.  Please plan to come at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, at 710 Arthur, 78202.
